Join Education Policy Pitch Night, brought to you by School Board School & Cohear!
How would you improve education in Cincinnati Public Schools or across Ohio?
We’re back with School Board School and Cohear’s fourth annual Education Policy Pitch Night, and we need your ideas! You can submit ideas for improving education in Cincinnati Public Schools OR ideas that could be implemented statewide. A group of community members will read all the ideas and choose up to seven ideas to be pitched to a panel of CPS leaders and Ohio state representatives. The panel will help choose the winner(s), ensuring the pitches have champions in CPS/the statehouse to turn the ideas into reality!
Submit your idea by November 22nd!
You cannot save your work in the submission form and come back to it, so we suggest you make a copy of this document, type your answers into it, and then copy/paste them into the form.
Want to attend Education Policy Pitch Night on Tuesday, January 28th to hear all the great ideas and vote on a winner? Register now for this virtual event!
Panelists
Thank you to our Pitch Night Panelists!
CPS leaders and Ohio State Representatives will provide feedback on the pitches, as well as help choose the winning pitch(es) and serve as champions for the ideas at the district/statehouse.

Policy vs Practice
While this event is called Education Policy Pitch Night, you can actually pitch a policy idea OR a practice/procedure idea- we just weren’t sure how to put all that in one snappy event name! It’s important for you to know whether you are pitching a policy change or a practice/procedural change. Why? Because to be an effective advocate you have to know not just what you’re advocating for, but also who to advocate to.
Check out this deck for a quick explanation.
